The 2026 Shanghai Masters, officially the Rolex Shanghai Masters, is scheduled for 7-18 October 2026 in Shanghai, China. The ATP tournament page provides the dates of this ATP Masters 1000 event and links to draws and results. To check matchups and scores without mistaking a projection for published information, use the tournament's draw, daily schedule and results pages.
At-a-glance calendar: which dates are confirmed?
| Date | What to check |
|---|---|
| 7 October | Start of the official tournament period listed by the ATP. |
| 7-18 October | Overall window for the 2026 edition. The order of play depends on the daily schedule. |
| 18 October | Last day of the official period shown on the calendar. |
These dates describe the event window, not a court-by-court list of match times or pairings. Check the official order of play for the date and time of a particular match once it has been released. A player's opening-match date cannot be inferred from the 7-18 October window alone.
Where to find the official draw and results
- Start with the ATP. Open the official Shanghai tournament page, make sure the edition shown is 2026, and look for “Draws” and “Results”. The ATP lists this as a hard-court Masters 1000 event, with draw sizes of 96 in singles and 32 in doubles.
- Read the tournament draw. Use the Draw page to see how matchups are arranged and, when the relevant options are published, select singles, doubles or qualifying as needed. The draw helps identify opponents and potential paths through the rounds, but a pairing shown in the draw is not a score.
- Check completed and ongoing matches separately. The Results section is for match results; Live Scores is the place to check live scoring when matches are underway. An empty page before the event begins should not be interpreted as a result.
- Verify the court and start time. The Schedule page displays the daily order of play once organizers release it. Use it to confirm the scheduled day, court and time, rather than inferring them from a player's position in the draw.
A draw, an order of play and a score are different things
The draw shows the tournament structure, positions and progression of players or teams. The daily schedule arranges matches for a given date and may list times and courts. Live scores follow matches in progress, while results record what happened in completed matches. Check the year, event and section before sharing a matchup or score.
An advance player list is not the same as a published draw. The tournament website itself notes that players featured in promotional material are subject to ATP eligibility and participation rules and may withdraw. Appearing in tournament publicity therefore does not establish a player's final draw position.
What was available before the tournament
As checked on 27 September 2026, the official draw page still displayed no matches. The daily schedule and results pages likewise had not posted matches for the edition. This does not change the overall dates confirmed by the ATP: it means that actual matchups, court assignments, start times and scores must be checked on their respective pages after publication. This guide does not presume qualifiers, pairings, match scores or broadcast providers.
