About the broadcast column: “no specific broadcast announced” does not necessarily mean that a match will have no video coverage. It only means that, as of this fact check, CBF had not linked a specific channel or service to that fixture in its second-round announcement. Programming can still change.
Which derbies have confirmed coverage
Flamengo vs Vasco
The Rio derby is scheduled for Thursday, October 8, at 4:30 p.m. Brasilia time at Luso-Brasileiro in Rio de Janeiro. CBF listed SporTV as the broadcaster. This match-specific information appears in the federation's detailed second-round announcement.
Palmeiras vs Santos
The Sao Paulo derby closes the round on Friday, October 9, at 8 p.m. Brasilia time at Arena Barueri. CBF announced SporTV coverage.
Ceara vs Ferroviario
The Ceara derby is scheduled for Wednesday, October 7, at 3 p.m. Brasilia time at Cidade Vozão in Itaitinga. CBF announced Mil Sports coverage. Mil Sports' official Copa do Brasil U-20 page provides registration and access to its tournament content.
Other matches with announced coverage
- Atletico-MG vs Athletic: October 8 at 3 p.m. at Arena MRV, on Mil Sports.
- Sao Paulo vs Athletico-PR: October 8 at 5:30 p.m. in Cotia, on Mil Sports.
- Botafogo vs Bahia: October 8 at 8 p.m. at Nilton Santos, on Mil Sports.
Why some matches have no channel listed
CBF stated that six second-round matches would be shown live and named the outlets for those games. For that reason, this article does not fill the other ten fixtures with assumed club streams, social media broadcasts or platforms that were not specifically announced for the match.
If you want to watch a fixture that still has no listed broadcaster, the safest approach is to check the competition page and the clubs' official channels again close to matchday. That matters because kickoff times, venues and broadcast schedules can be changed.
How the second round works
The second round has 32 clubs and each tie is decided in a single match. If the score is level after regulation time, the qualifier is decided by penalties. From the round of 16 onward, ties switch to two legs.
The games are spread across three days: eight matches on October 7, seven on October 8, and Palmeiras vs Santos closing the round on October 9. With most fixtures concentrated on Wednesday and Thursday, checking Brasilia time and any later schedule amendments is important.
