From September 28 through October 7, 2026, Brazilian INSS benefit payments for September follow two schedules. For beneficiaries who receive up to one minimum wage, this period starts with benefit numbers ending in 3 on September 28 and ends with numbers ending in 0 on October 7. For beneficiaries who receive more than one minimum wage, payments begin on October 1 for endings 1 and 6 and finish on October 7 for endings 5 and 0.
INSS instructs beneficiaries to use the last digit of the benefit number before the hyphen and to ignore the check digit that appears after it. The table below covers only the dates from September 28 through October 7, which are the focus of this guide.
INSS payment schedule from September 28 to October 7
| Date | Up to one minimum wage | More than one minimum wage |
|---|---|---|
| 09/28/2026 | Ending 3 | No payment for this group |
| 09/29/2026 | Ending 4 | No payment for this group |
| 09/30/2026 | Ending 5 | No payment for this group |
| 10/01/2026 | Ending 6 | Endings 1 and 6 |
| 10/02/2026 | Ending 7 | Endings 2 and 7 |
| 10/05/2026 | Ending 8 | Endings 3 and 8 |
| 10/06/2026 | Ending 9 | Endings 4 and 9 |
| 10/07/2026 | Ending 0 | Endings 5 and 0 |
September payments for beneficiaries receiving up to one minimum wage started before this date range: ending 1 was paid on September 24 and ending 2 on September 25. For benefits above one minimum wage, there are no September payment dates within this benefit cycle because that group's schedule starts on October 1. The dates are those announced by INSS on September 22 and match the 2026 calendar published by CAIXA.
How to identify the relevant final digit
Use the benefit number without the check digit. In the example provided by INSS, a benefit numbered 0108-4 must be read as ending in 8, because the number after the hyphen is only the check digit. In that example, if the benefit is up to one minimum wage, the September payment date is October 5; if it is above one minimum wage, ending 8 is paid together with ending 3, also on October 5.
This rule prevents a common mistake: using the digit after the hyphen when looking up the payment date. The digit that matters for the schedule is always the last one before the hyphen.
How to check the date and bank in Meu INSS
