What to know on the main Círio day, October 11

Anyone planning to attend the main procession should distinguish the Mass time from the procession departure time. Mass at Belém Metropolitan Cathedral begins at 6:00 a.m., while the procession is scheduled to leave at 7:00 a.m. The official route is relatively short at 3.6 km, but its estimated duration is six hours because of the scale of the event and the movement of the crowd.

The Event Route also includes operational maps for key areas, with roadblocks, streets open to vehicles, observation areas and Red Cross and Civil Defense assistance posts. Anyone who needs to cross central Belém or reach a specific point on the route should therefore consider not only the departure time but also closures and the time needed to arrive before the procession reaches that section.

How to follow changes and the position of the Berlinda

The schedule in this article reflects the official route released on September 24, 2026. Since roadblocks, access points and other operational details may be adjusted closer to each procession, it is advisable to check the official channels again on the day of the event.

For 2026, the KDaBerlinda app will provide real-time tracking of the Berlinda in all 14 official processions. According to the organizers, live location begins on October 7 with Traslado dos Carros. The app also includes the schedule, times, reference points and links to live broadcasts, which can help people locate a procession that is already underway.
